Clarify data protection obligations for frontline public services


The Data Protection Bill needs to clarify just what sort of data protection officer is needed to ensure implementation of the law in frontline, private sector organisations, like pharmacies, ophthalmologists, and dentists, delivering public services


Many of these providers are very small. The Bill imposes obligations for a data protection officer that might be so expensive, that providers are knocked out of business
