Infrastructure:

Universal superfast broadband access

What

The universal minimum speed provided for all premises should be at least 30 Mbps by 2022.

Why

To get reliable access to video on demand, online gaming and web business opportunities, everyone in the UK will need superfast internet speeds.

Treat internet access like a utility. Plans are far too slow- see Hull’s 100% FTTH by 2019 for inspiration.

Nationalise Openreach, break it up into city & county region not-for-profits/mutuals and get investment into 100% FTTP ASAP

We can and should plan to do a lot better than deliver already obsolete "superfast" technologies. 100% FTTP is what we should be targeting.
